This piece embodies the surreal essence of the Dolls series, where reality and fantasy blur into a dreamlike narrative. The central theme is a story of abandonment and forgetting — of a presence left behind, suspended in time. It reflects the emotions of being discarded yet lingering, existing in a space that once held meaning but has now faded into the background.
Stillness fills the frame and quiet desperation screams from her eyes. Alone in her own world, she remains in a space she has created for herself — with peeling walls and silent company.
Set in an abandoned interior, the scene was carefully constructed using a live model and selected props. Through surreal retouching techniques, I altered the atmosphere and enhanced the tonal contrasts, pushing the visual into the realm of the unreal. The composition echoes themes of solitude, emotional distance and displacement.
Although I created this ongoing series primarily for exhibition, selected works — including My Space — are also available as Fine Art Acrylic and paper prints in 2 sizes, each produced to museum-grade quality as part of an exclusive limited edition, ensuring exceptional visual depth and lasting archival durability.
