Return Policy

Effective date: June 20, 2025

These Terms and Conditions apply to all purchases made on or after this date.

Display Accuracy

By using Galleria Green’s online gallery, the customer acknowledges and agrees that individual devices and monitors may display colours differently and there may be variations between the digital representation and the actual printed version of the artwork.

Production is carried out in collaboration with top-tier printing labs in Europe and the United States, using premium archival Fine Art papers, museum-quality acrylic materials and the latest digital print technology. These high-end materials and printing methods such as the Giclée process ensure exceptional colour fidelity, UV resistance and long-term durability. Details, depth and clarity are captured with precision, bringing each artwork vividly to life. Only through this printing process does each artwork become a luxurious gallery-quality Fine Art Photography print — an extraordinary work of art in its own right, crafted to last for generations.

Returns and Cancellations

Please note that the artworks showcased in Galleria Green’s online gallery can be considered to be still in an unfinished state, as they are not pre-printed but individually printed to order according to the customer’s selected specifications.

In accordance with Section 16 of Chapter 6 in the Finnish Consumer Protection Act (38/1978) and Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council, the right of withdrawal does not apply to artworks that are printed to order based on the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised, such as the selected print type or size. This is a standard practice within the Fine Art print industry across the European Union for printed to order works.

A binding contract is formed either by placing an order through the online store — when the customer clicks the “Place Order” button — or by accepting a customized offer via e-mail.

Once the order is confirmed, production begins and the artist finalizes the artwork in close collaboration with a carefully selected printing lab. As mentioned above, Galleria Green partners exclusively with top-tier printing companies renowned for their excellence in producing luxurious Fine Art Photography prints.

Each final print is meticulously handcrafted using archival, gallery-quality materials to ensure the highest level of visual and material quality. When properly handled, stored and displayed, these artworks are produced to last for decades.

Because each piece is individually produced and completed only upon order, all sales are final and binding and the artworks are non-returnable. Refunds cannot be granted due to a change of mind, incorrect size selection or damages caused by customers. This no-return policy also applies to corporate and legal entity customers.

However, if a confirmed production-related defect or transport damage occurs, a replacement artwork will be produced and delivered at no cost to the customer. Please read further for detailed instructions and eligibility requirements.

Inspecting the Delivery and Reporting Damage

All artwork deliveries from Galleria Green are meticulously prepared in art-secure packaging. The shipping process includes insurance coverage against delivery damages, which is handled by the printing lab partner responsible for the production, packaging and shipment.

Occasionally, despite the utmost care, artworks may incur damage during shipment. Therefore, all customers are urged to inspect their shipment carefully upon arrival to verify both accuracy and external integrity.

If the packaging is visibly damaged upon delivery and the artwork itself is physically affected, please follow these steps:

  • Report the Package Damage: Take clear and detailed photographs of the damage and report it to the courier before accepting the package, if the damage is visible at the time of delivery.
  • Inspect Immediately: Open the package with care. Check the artwork for any visible damage, such as creases, dents, scratches or tears on the print, frame or glazing.
  • Document the Damage: Photograph both the artwork and the packaging thoroughly. These images are required for documentation.
  • Notify Galleria Green: Send an email to info@galleriagreen.com within 48 hours of receiving the delivery. Include your order confirmation, contact details (if different from the original order), a description of the issue and all relevant photographs. If available, please also attach a copy of the delivery receipt signed by the courier.
  • Prepare for Pickup: Repack the artwork using the original packaging materials

Claims related to delivery damage submitted after the specified period cannot be accepted, as these terms are set by Galleria Green’s printing lab partners and are binding for all orders.

Inspecting the Artwork and Reporting Production Defects

All artworks sold by Galleria Green are crafted to the highest fine-art standards using premium materials and advanced printmaking techniques. However, even with the utmost precision, occasional production defects may occur.

Therefore, all customers are urged to carefully examine the artwork upon receipt for any signs of production-related flaws.

If the print arrived rolled in a tube, handle it with clean dry hands or preferably cotton gloves. Unroll just enough to inspect — without forcing it flat or causing creases. If no issues are found, re-roll carefully without tight pressure or folding, and store safely until taken to a professional framer.

If a visible defect — such as printing defects, air bubbles or scratches in the acrylic, ink irregularities or paper damage — is suspected to have occurred during production rather than during shipping, please follow these steps:

  • Document the Issue: Take clear and detailed photographs of the suspected flaw. Be sure to capture the relevant area from multiple angles and in good lighting.
  • Gather Supporting Information: Prepare your order confirmation and a brief written description of the issue. If available, include a receipt from the courier for reference.
  • Notify Galleria Green: Send all documentation to info@galleriagreen.com within 48 hours of receiving the artwork.
  • Prepare for Pickup: Repack the artwork using the original packaging materials.

Claims related to production defects submitted after the specified period cannot be accepted, as these terms are set by Galleria Green’s printing lab partners and are binding for all orders.

Replacement Process for Confirmed Defects or Damages

Once the defect is confirmed in written by Galleria Green — whether related to shipping or production — a new artwork will be produced and delivered to the same provided delivery address at no cost to the customer. The delivery costs for the return will be covered from the customer’s original delivery address to the print lab where the artwork was produced.

Careful packaging using the original materials is required for the pickup and all return instructions provided by Galleria Green must be followed. Once the damaged artwork has been picked up and registered in the courier system for return, production of the replacement will begin promptly and the new artwork will be delivered as soon as possible — but at the latest within the normal production and delivery timeframe. The damaged artwork will be disposed of to ensure it does not impact the limited-edition print run.

This policy highlights the importance of photographic documentation and prompt communication with Galleria Green. We are fully committed to resolving the issue and correcting the error. However, please note that refunds or merchandise credit will not be provided.

Care Guidelines and Customer Responsibility

Galleria Green does not provide warranties, accept returns or issue refunds based on faults attributable to the customer, such as those resulting from improper care or display of the artwork. As mentioned, when properly cared for and displayed, a photographic artwork from Galleria Green can last for many decades and remain a cherished piece for generations.

However, it is important to understand that the materials, chemicals and dyes used in Fine Art printing are sensitive to environmental factors and may show signs of deterioration if not properly cared for. Exposure to humidity or direct sunlight can accelerate such changes.

TruLife® Acrylic, Optium® Museum Acrylic and HD Finish Metal prints all include UV protection and are made of scratch-resistant anti-reflective materials designed for high-end display — but like all refined surfaces they benefit from careful handling. To maintain clarity and ensure the artwork’s longevity, follow these care guidelines:

  • Keep the artwork away from direct sunlight, excessive humidity (acrylics) and sources of heat
  • Dust gently using a clean microfiber cloth. Regular dry wiping is typically sufficient
  • For fingerprints or smudges, slightly dampen the cloth with clean water (a drop of mild hand dish soap can be used) or a 1:1 mixture of clean water and isopropyl alcohol (70%)
  • Avoid using commercial glass cleaners (like Windex) as they often contain harsh chemicals such as ammonia or alcohol blends that may damage the surface and acrylic glazing
  • Never spray liquids directly onto the glazing. Always apply the cleaner to the cloth first
  • Do not use rough cloths sponges or abrasive pads

As a summary of these Terms and Conditions, Galleria Green remains legally responsible for production-related defects or damages that occur during shipping in accordance with the Finnish Consumer Protection Act. This responsibility does not extend to misuse or improper handling. If you are unsure about how to clean, care for or display your artwork — or have any questions regarding these Terms and Conditions — please don’t hesitate to contact us.
